Overview

Over the past eleven years E2 made a substantial investment in people and product development to become South Africa’s leading Community Management Software Specialists.

E2 established and continue to perfect the association between community managers – community administrators - community members and our software platforms through a process known as the 5C’s. When scoping a solution we ask you to identify the following:

Community

The type of community that you wish to attract!

This could include members of the public, or professional that are registered with a statutory body.

Connect

How we will connect to the community!

If a database exists we will import the information into our community management application.

If no database exists we will design an online application form connected to the database.

We encourage all community managers to establish a member database. A website without the ability to communicate with a defined community is less likely to succeed than one with a defined community.

Content

The content that you wish to present to the community!

This is by far the most important element when delivering a community solution. If a member visits the community and does not find a satisfactory offering, then they are unlikely to return.

The most successful online communities provide a reason for members to return on a regular – if a daily basis. Examples include communicating with patients, obtaining educational points, downloading CPD certificates, reading journals, adding information to a forum or registering for an event.

Communications

Who and what you wish to communicate to your community!

Community managers are encouraged to send regular messages to the members either by e-mail or SMS.

Communications would include educating the members on system functionality, new content or special offers.

All E2 products have the ability to send e-mail or SMS communications to all members listed in the database, by membership type and location.

Commerce

Will your solution save costs, generate revenue or a combination of both!

All community management solutions should have a defined business model. Community managers are requested to identify possible cost savings and potential revenue streams.
